Dand's book on the cocoa market is superb. It covers the history of cocoa, agriculture, production, actuals and futures markets, international organizations, consumption, quality assessment, chocolate production ... everything you could conceivably want to know about this romantic market. The book is authoritative, well written and an engrossing read. I can't recommend it highly enough.
