This is a book in Reuters' training series. It is an excellent text for people who are new to commodities markets, including capital markets professionals who lack commodities experience. It is easy to read with lots of graphics and little text. It is practical, and extremely interesting for anyone who is new to this material. You learn about the different ways contracts for physical delivery settle: in store, free-on-board, cost-insurance-freight, etc. You learn about a variety of metals, energies and agricultural markets. You learn the intricacies of the shipping market. I recommend the book as an easy way to gain broad, practical exposure to the commodities markets.
